Dear Lord,
Bless us in our decision to homeschool our children. Grant us the grace of peace and determination in this awesome endeavor. Help us to live the faith in our family life. Lead us to the proper materials for the instruction of each of our children to nurture their individual talents and skills and help them grow in wisdom and intelligence. Give us the strength to persevere when the calling to be spouse, parent, and teacher seems too much to bear. We ask for your grace to do your will in our household and homeschool and for your blessing to maintain harmony and thrive in all circumstances. Help us to have absolute trust in you.
Amen.
“The Christian family is the first place of education in prayer. Based on the Sacrament of Marriage, the family is the ‘domestic church’ where God’s children learn to pray ‘as the Church’ and to persevere in prayer. For young children in particular, daily family prayer is the first witness of the Church’s living memory as awakened patiently by the Holy Spirit.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church n. 2685)
